Application fee for the Mercury Hotels & Resorts is currently higher than that of any other US brand at $250,000. Despite this high entry fee, hotel owners developing or converting to the brand will be amply rewarded by our flat membership fee structure as well as the premium rates that the properties will be able to attract, thus easily growing shareholder value.
Cost Per Key (excluding land cost) is currently projected at a range of $400,000 to $525,000 per room. This is a high barrier to entry brand with a very rigorous and selective acceptance process. No more than five properties will be accepted annually for new development and conversion within the first phase of the brand's expansion (2009 to 2012) Only developers with a strong track record in commercial real estate transactions who possess solid institutional credit backing will be considered for approval. A five year membership contract is required, with an exit window after the first three years. Monthly membership fees will remain flat during the contract term.
Mercury Hotels & Resorts will be developed in unspoiled beachfront locations, gateway city centers, and expansive land sites in destination cities. The goal is to create stunning sanctuaries and retreats where guests can immerse themselves in all the finest luxuries, amenities and comforts possible.
